The Teacher Dashboard is where your journey with Zorbit's begins. Once you create a class you can start to add students to your roster. Once added to your roster your students will have usernames and passwords automatically generated. These usernames and passwords will be used to login to and play the Zorbit's Math Adventure game. For more on the Zorbit's game click here.
This is what your homepage will look like after you've created a class.
Let's take a look at the sections on your home page. We'll read them from left to right. First, we can see a "Getting Started" Checklist, next "Take a Tour", then "Zorbit's Home-Learning Kits", then some recommended offline activities in the "Try These Activities" group and finally we have the "Game Controls" for the Zorbit's Math adventure game. Let's discuss these sections further below.
Section 1: Getting Started
In this section, we see a list of things to do. You'll notice you've got one thing done already by creating a class. Great work - you're well on your way to giving your students some spacetastic math fun! Once you've got this list completed, we encourage you to look around all the different sections of your Teacher Dashboard.
Section 2: Take a Tour
Get the inside scoop on your Teacher Dashboard by taking our guided tour. Once you've got the "Getting Started" checklist completed this is a great next step.
Section 3: Zorbit's Home-Learning Kits
This section will give you quick access to all past and current Home-Learning Kits. Such as hands-on activities and fun Math Youtube videos. Just click on the link for more!
Section 4: Try These Activities
Now that you have a Zorbit's account not only do you have access to a wealth of digital content with the Zorbit's Math Adventure game, you also have access to a wealth of offline content as well with our in-class activities. The activity types featured are Math Talk, Guided Lesson, Game, and Exploratory Activity. Our team is always updating and adding to these activities.
Section 5: Game Controls
Last but certainly not least we have the Game Controls section on the homepage. This gives you a quick view of what grades your class currently has access to. By selecting "Customize" you will get a full view of the Game Controls and will be able to tailor the game to better suit your needs. For more details on Game Controls click here.
