Students: How to Access and Play Zorbit's Math Adventure Follow
The Zorbit's Math Adventure Game is accessible for students at school as well as at home, on an iPad (using the iOS app), or using a web browser on a supported device.
Logging In To The Game
Student access to the game is either through the play website at play.zorbitsmath.com or through the iOS app on an iPad.
If using an iPad, please ensure the latest version of the iOS app is installed. It can be found by searching "Zorbit's Math" in the App Store on the iPad. Your district IT department may need to install the app for you.
Single Sign-On (SSO) via Web Browser
If your school board uses Single Sign-On (SSO), your students can access the game through their portal page. If using Google SSO, students can simply click on the "Sign in with Google" button on the play website.
Similar to other Google SSO apps, students will see a new pop-up window to complete the Google SSO process.
iPad Login (via iOS app)
Students will need to open the iOS app on their iPad, and enter their unique username and password using the on-screen keyboard and then click the green "Log In" button.
Standard Login - Usernames and Passwords (no SSO available)
Once you've created your classroom and added your students to your roster, students can log in using their usernames and passwords. This is where Student Login Cards and Parent Letters will be helpful!
Web Browser Login (play.zorbitsmath.com)
Classroom Selection
Once your students have logged in, they will need to select their classroom. What they see will be the name you have created for your classroom. If the student is in multiple classrooms, they will have all classes available to pick from
Grade Selection
Students will now have the ability to select which planet they would like to explore. Each Grade is as follows:
- Alphabulous- Kindergarten
- Betamomax- Grade 1
- Gammaramma- Grade 2
- Deltacular- Grade 3
If you've set your game controls to exclude certain planets they will appear blacked out and students will be unable to access them. You'll also notice that if you turn off an entire Grade for a student all planets will be removed. In the first picture above the student has access to grades K-3. In the second picture, the student has access to two planets within K and all Grade two planets. For more on Game Controls click here.
Navigating The Game
When a student enters a planet they will see their game map/level select. They'll see one level node unlocked with a module name and different activities. As students gain more stars within a level more levels will unlock. Tap or click the first level node to begin playing.
Using the purple back arrow in the top left corner of the game will take you back where you navigated from. Using this will allow a student to visit different planets and grade levels.
Tutorial For New Players
When a student logs into Zorbit's Math Adventure for the first time they will have the option to play a tutorial. This will show them the in-game mechanics they will use across different activities on their adventure. In-game mechanics refers to the abilities and tools we give students within Zorbit's.
If a student would like to replay the tutorial, they can do so anytime from the login screen by pressing the icon in the top right corner of the screen.
Help Button
If a student gets stuck on a question they can get some additional help by pressing the in-game help button in the top right corner of the screen, seen below as the purple question mark. Pressing the help button will highlight in-game objects that can be interacted with as well as give an audio suggestion for students.
